We are pleased to welcome you to the Worldwide Christians website. Org, the site of the very first Christians.

You will find on this site a lot of information concerning Christianity from the very first centuries.

We are convinced that you will find pleasure in documenting Christian teachings as they were perceived at the dawn of Christianity.

EDITORIAL

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are very pleased to provide you with some quick instructions.

First of all, I want to thank you for the photos you have sent us and that we have quickly used during our recent Sunday services. The Brothers appreciated this information very much, and we want to thank you for it. Here, everyone sends their regards and asks us to greet the pastors who have decided to work with us. We pray for good families who love the Lord and honor the faith. Congratulations indeed.

As you know, we are 'catholic' (from the Greek "katholikos": universal) but not Roman, meaning we are of Greek Catholic origin. We have the same teaching as the Holy Trinity Church for English-speaking churches.

We also do not follow the rites of the Latin (Roman) church but those of the original church in all their simplicity: we do not worship Mary, but we show her great respect. We also do not worship the saints.

We do not worship images or human representations of heavenly things.

Our teaching is very similar to the teachings of some Protestant churches.

The Church is always modern and never gets old. The simpler and more natural things are, the more they correspond to the teachings of Christ.

The more 'modern' (simple) they are, the more they retain their ancient origin and original authenticity.

I suppose you understand that there are significant differences between Latin Catholicism and Greek Catholicism: for example, in our tradition, 'presbyters' (priests, pastors) are allowed to marry.

I believe I have also taught articles mentioning the differences between the Latin church and the original Greek church on this subject.

We consider the very first presbyters (1st and 2nd centuries) as our teachers and we base ourselves on their explanations of Holy Scripture. These patriarchs are well known, and you will find them (in French and English) on the Internet; their names are very famous. For example:

  • Ignatius of Antioch
  • Polycarp of Smyrna, who was the intimate friend of Saint John and the presbyter of the Church of Smyrna (Rev 3)
  • Irenaeus, who was a disciple of Polycarp and was sent to Gaul, i.e., ancient France.
  • Clement 'whose name was written in the Book of Life' - Philippians 4:3
  • Linus (Lin) mentioned in 2 Timothy 4:21

And many others that you can discover gradually in your research.

You are not unaware that the New Testament was written in Greek just like the last 6 books of the Old Testament (removed by the Protestants), which were also written in Greek.

Never forget that to err is human, and is therefore not a problem. Only obstinacy in an error is a fault unforgivable in the eyes of God.

We wish you, each one of you, your family, and the pastors, a blessed Nativity feast alongside our only Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
